Riverside Health Care issued the following announcement on July 29.
Riverside Healthcare is pleased to announce that Riverside Women's Health Specialists team is expanding by two. Drs. Lena Alia and Janos Uzonyi seek to grow OB/GYN services in outside markets.
Dr. Alia completed her Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. She then pursued and completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Alia is fluent in both English and Arabic.
Dr. Alia is board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. She is also certified in laparoscopic surgery by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery. In addition to her education, Dr. Alia is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Uzonyi completed his Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine in West Indies, Dominica. Dr. Uzonyi recently completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Uzoyni is board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also certified in laparoscopic surgery by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery. While Dr. Uzonyi specializes in Women's Health, his clinical interest is in maternal-fetal medicine.
In addition to his education, Dr. Uzonyi is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Both Dr. Alia and Dr. Uzonyi believe patient access is important and will be offering later appointment days as well as expanding care in Riverside's northern and southern service areas. Dr. Alia will be seeing patients at Riverside Medical Group Women's Health Specialists in Bourbonnais, Kankakee, Coal City and Frankfort. Dr. Uzonyi will be seeing patients at Riverside Medical Group Women's Health Specialists in Bourbonnais, Kankakee, Coal City and Watseka.
