State Rep. Lindsay Parkhurst (R-Kankakee) recently announced that the 79th District Office has partnered with the Marine Corps Reserve to accept donations for the 2020 Toys for Tots program.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the office has partnered with the Marine Corps Reserve to administer the Toys for Tots program.
“Our goal is to ensure every child in the 79th District can enjoy a Merry Christmas and have a happy holiday season,” said Parkhurst. “Please look for a donation box and donate a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need.
This is the fourth year in a row that the Marine Corp. and 79th District Office have worked together for toys for tots.

Residents can drop of donations at a collection box in the 79th District Office located at 370 E. Court Street in Kankakee.
Visitors can obtain more information about additional drop off locations on the Kankakee Toys for Tots website at kankakee-il.toysfortots.org.
Registration for those wishing to receive toys is now open.
