City of Momence City Council met Nov. 16.

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held via Zoom. Mayor Steele called the meeting to order.

ROLL CALL

Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cook, Temple, Rehmer and Cope.

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Salomone made motion to approve the minutes of the, November 2, 2020 council meeting with the correction of Alderman Carbonaro being in attendance. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

APPROVAL OF THE BILLS

The bills were discussed during committee meeting. Alderman Salomone made motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

CITIZENS FORUM –

1. Benjamin Wilson – E Waste Presentation

OLD BUSINESS – Alderman Salomone working on getting a bond facilitator 

ALDERMANIC REPORTS –

1. Nova Metz- Discuss and vote on Baxter & Woodman to assist with rate study, Alderman Metz made a motion to approve the rate study not to exceed cost of $18300.00. Alderman Salomone seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.

2. Alderman Salomone – BF meeting, December 7, 7:15PM

3. Alderman Rehmer– residents questioning leaf clean up, asking if signs can be posted to get the message out.

Treasurer report –

Department Heads –

MAYORAL REPORT – George Ryan Insurance Renewal went down 10% on work comp, total liability went down 7% overall. Total premium $152151.00. Alderman Cook made motion to approve, Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Alderman Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.

Alderman Rehmer made motion to adjourn, Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.
