Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees Met May 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

6:30PM Motion to elect Gerry Morgan as Temporary Chairman for the purpose of this meeting

         Voice vote taken       approved 5-0-0

6:32PM Meeting Called to Order/ Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all present except Pres Hawkins, and Ms. Veldhuizen (arriving 6:41PM)

Public Comments: Jason and Julie Bieszczak read a prepared statement concerning the tent used next to their pizza trailer, adjacent to Dunn Inn. They were told to take it down, they are asking for reconsideration to the issue, stating a couple factors. Mr. Morgan replied he will turn this over to the Ordinance committee for review, and get back to them as soon as a meeting is called.

Kevin Hill, also speaking for Jerry Loitz, is asking to be allowed to go back to dumpsters for their apartment buildings, stating multiple cases where the garbage totes just do not work for various reasons in this situation. Mr. Morgan replied he will turn this over to committee for review, and get back to them as soon as a meeting has been called.

Chuck Hale spoke of a bad tree in the parkway near his home. John Hensen will look in to it.
