City of Momence City Council met Oct. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.

ROLL CALL

Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk present. Aldermen Salomone and Huddelston were absent.

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Cook made motion to approve the minutes of the, October 4, 2021. Alderman Strunk seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Cook, and Strunk voting yes. Aldermen Starkey and Temple both passed.

APPROVAL OF THE BILLS

The bills were discussed during committee meeting. Alderman Cook made motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Clark seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

CITIZENS FORUM – Michael Livermore – from Champaign, here to learn about the community, possible future involvement.

OLD BUSINESS –

ALDERMANIC REPORTS – Alderman Temple requested executive session to come out to do business.

Alderman Cook – BF meeting November 1, 7:15 PM

Department Heads –

Scott indicated that the leaves are starting to be picked up

MAYORAL REPORT – Nikki from Baxter/Woodman will be in attendance on November 1, requesting a Public Works meeting at 6:30 PM.

No discussion on the school zone is required.

Alderman Cook made motion to move into executive session. Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

Moved to executive session 7:34 PM

7:41 PM returned from executive session

Alderman Carbonaro made motion to approve moving Officer Blaskey to FT position. Alderman Temple seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

Alderman Cook made motion to adjourn. Alderman Starkey seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.
