City of Watseka City Council met Sept. 20.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
PRESENT: Mayor Allhands, Aldermen Barragree, Cahoe, Marcier, Miller, Alderwoman Musk
ABSENT: Aldermen Garfield and Rushbrook
Mayor Allhands opened the special called meeting at 6:52 to pass a resolution of support for the downtown Street Scape project. Mayor Allhands stated a public hearing was held last week to discuss the possible plans. He also stated the state moved up the deadline to apply for the grant from October to September. It was stated the earliest start date is spring of 2024. After some discussion Alderman Cahoe makes a motion to accept the Resolution of Support and Commitment of Local Funds and Alderman Miller seconded. Roll call carried 6-0.
Mayor Allhands makes a motion to adjourn at 6:56 pm and Alderman Cahoe seconded. Roll call carried 6-0.
