Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met Nov. 20.

6:30PM Meeting called to Order / Pledge
Roll Call was taken, all members present except Mr. Morgan
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 11/06/23 meeting
Motion: Wiedl 2nd: Bruni Motion Carried 4-0-0
Public Comments: John Veldhuizen spoke concerning the Esson Farm Road Safety walk going past his property. Com Ed is replacing poles along the path, and the one to be placed near his property, he is in belief that it is on his property, and not on the easement. He has been in contact with the Village Engineer over the matter, work has stopped until a resolution to the situation is reached. He wanted the Board to be aware of the matter.
Representatives of Cannabistro LLC. were present to discuss opening an adult Dispensary in the former Mainstreet Bank location. A lawyer, and one of the owners, representing the firm spoke of the project spoke of their intentions, presented a proposed revision of the current Ordinance to fit their needs. They spoke of the additional revenue to the Village, and their intent to comply with the planning commission. They also asked to be able to apply for the TIF program. Estimated opening would be in about 6 months.
*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <11/16/23 General Fund $24,469.00, Fest Fund $1000.00, M.F.T. $649.23 Payroll <11/11/23 $18,429.95, 11/14/23 Stipend $3000.00
