Rep. Haas recently addressed students at Olivet Nazarene University on the topic of getting involved in the legislative process. Expressing gratitude, the representative thanked the university's Department of Social Work for the opportunity, stating, "Thank you to the Olivet Nazarene University Department of Social Work for welcoming me to speak about how to get involved in the legislative process!"

Highlighting the significance of advocacy in the lawmaking process, Rep. Haas, who also works as a social worker, emphasized the importance of engaging in the legislative arena. "As a social worker, I know the importance of advocacy in the lawmaking process, and it was an honor to share that knowledge with our next generation of social workers!"

Additionally, the event saw virtual participation from State Representative Lindsey LaPointe, who, like Rep. Haas, is a social worker. Rep. Haas expressed gratitude towards LaPointe, saying, "I also want to thank fellow social worker State Representative Lindsey LaPointe for joining us virtually for this discussion."
