a. Country Nest Resale, LLC - Charity Event

Board to consider approving one of the following two items related to a temporary use permit for a proposed charitable fundraising event hosted by Country Nest Resale, LLC 1131 Fairview Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559. 

An ordinance approving a temporary use fee waiver request for a charitable fundraising event; or

A motion directing the Village Manager to deny the temporary use permit.

The Country Nest Resale, LLC is hosting a flea market event in the shared parking lot of 1131 Fairview Avenue, which will benefit local charities on July 28, August 18, and September 22, 2024. The times of operation will be 8am - 4pm.

b. Award Of Bid Proposal - 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project

Board to consider an ordinance awarding the bid proposal from Brothers Asphalt Paving Inc. for the Village's 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project (MFT# 24-00114-00-RS) and authorizing a contract consistent with the bid documents. 

The Village accepted bid proposals from six contractors for the 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project. The bids ranged from $1,004,614.40- $1,225,000.00. The low bid was 17% lower than the Engineer's cost estimate of $1,212,165.50.

The approved construction budget for the 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project is $1,700,000. The low bid is within the budgeted amount.

Staff recommends awarding the bid of $1,004,614.40 to Brothers Asphalt Paving Inc.

c. Engineering Agreement- 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project

Board to consider an ordinance authorizing an engineering agreement with Primera Engineers, Ltd for Phase 3 construction engineering services for the 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project.

Request to approve the sum of $125,246.00 for Phase 3 construction engineering services for the Village's 2024 MFT Resurfacing Project.

This Board may adjourn to closed session to discuss matters so permitted and may act upon such matters upon returning to open session.
