Trustee Boyce opened the meeting at 7:37 a.m.

MOTION: A motion by Trustee Phillips, seconded by Trustee Dole, to approve the minutes from May 28, 2024, meeting as presented. Voice vote – All ayes, No nays. Motion approved.

No public participation.

No action items.

Discussion Items:

• Jumping Pillow Update – Mr. Hanley has talked to the owner of the company where we purchased the pillow from, and the owner is checking with the factory on production of the new pillow. It will take a few weeks for production. The cost to replace is $12,175.00. Mr. Hanley may also purchase another motor. Once the pillow is received the public works personnel will be ready to install.

• Current Project Updates -

o Thies Park

▪ Building up south berm

▪ Grading

▪ Parking lot stoned

▪ Fencing contractor has started

▪ Light pole foundations are installed, light heads have been delivered, poles are expected later this week

▪ Plaques will be ordered – Lucille Thies Park

o Legacy Park

▪ Phase 1 – started construction layout for the parking lot

▪ Phase 2 – July or early August bid opening

o MFT – street maintenance

▪ Will start after the July 4th holiday, possibly the week of July 8th

o Gallagher has made some repairs to the stamped asphalt at the Square. Mr. Hanley will investigate the cost of a full replacement or redoing the beige areas with a new color.

o Fiber Broadband policies – the revised policies will be sent to all ISP companies this week.

o N. Cypress Bike Path Lighting – bid opening on 6/27/24 @ 2 pm with an award of bid on the 7/15/24 Board meeting agenda. Poles and heads have been ordered.

o Quiet Zone – attended a meeting last month that went well. On-site inspection meeting will be coming (HR Green, County, Township, CN Railroad, FRA and village). Mr. LaRocque stated that by updating the crossings to create a quiet zone the crossings are being made safer.

o Community Center Update – flooring is going down, painters have started, cabinets are being delivered on Monday and then granite will be measured. Some light fixtures will also be updated.

• Rock Creek Wildflower/Pollinator Area – Mr. Hanley met with Pizzo & Associates concerning the area and having a controlled burn. The company says the area is doing well and the burn would even help the area. A proposal from Pizzo & Associates to do the burn and then seed the area for $13,646.52. Fire Department have been notified of the possibly. All permits and notifications will be handled by Pizzo & Associates.

• Parks Update –

o Heritage Park safety nets are installed.

o Rubber mulch has been installed at the Square and at Windfield Park.

o Deposit check has been mailed for the turf at the Square

o Com-Ed donated 50-75 trees to the village

o Will investigate the cost of updating the Heritage Park bathrooms

o Heritage Park parking lot will be seal coated on during the 2nd week of July – will be checking with MYBSL and MYSA on any potential conflicts.

o Inlet sections at the parks are being investigated about grate requirements– Mr. Hanley will talk to Bruce Hill about regulations on what should have an inlet cover.

• Equipment Update –

o Six-foot John Deere mower has been delivered.

o Possible purchase of a remote mower – current one has issues

o Building thermostats are working now – love new building

o Purchase of the 700 S. Oak building has been completed.

o School has approved a lease agreement for 269 North Main St.

o Paint and flooring at the old Channel 4 area will be updated.

Motion by Trustee Boyce, seconded by Trustee Dole, to adjourn meeting at 8:10 a.m. Voice vote: all ayes, no nays.
