6:30PM Meeting called to Order / Pledge

Roll Call was taken, Bruni and Whorrall absent

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 8/19/24 meeting

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Detloff Motion Carried 4-0-0

Public Comments: Nathen Stanula addressed the Board concerning an issue with a recent Community Center rental. Issue was addressed

*Motion to approve Bills for payment: <8/30/24 General Fund $12,017.87, M.F.T. $1,409.33, Fest Account $1,319.98, 250,000 Sewer Fund $41,318.00, Am Rescue $525.00, Payroll <8/17/24 $20,791.87, <8/21/24 $4,640.00, <8/27/24 $6,375.00

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Wiedl Motion Carried 4-0-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: petitions are being picked up. Due back 11/12 to 11/18th

Ordinance & Insurance, Wiedl: no report

Streets & Alleys, Passini: last brush pick-up 10/7th

Finance, Morgan: brief discussion of Board imposing a 1% sales tax by Ordinance next meeting

Community Outreach, Detloff:

*Motion to add Clerk Scott Dillman to signature card on all checking accounts at Midland States Bank

Motion: Detloff 2nd: Wiedl Motion Carried 4-0-0

Thanked JD Dykema for donation to Fest Account

Informed Village Board about cooperation with County EMA and Red Cross using Community Center as a warming and cooling building, when needed “come out and enjoy Grant Park Fest September 7 & 8th”

Building & Grounds, Bruni: no report, absent

Law Enforcement, Whorrall: absent, report read of 126 calls in July, 127 in August, breakdown given for types of calls

Pres Hawkins:

*Motion to approve bid from KVCC for Taylor Street repair not to exceed $47000

*Motion to send residents a letter pertaining to no leaf pick-up, as presented
