Barbara Ann Dionne, Loving Wife, Mother, and Grammy Barb, Dies at 81

Barbara Ann Dionne | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Bourbonnais - Barbara Ann Dionne, aged 81, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, in Bourbonnais. Born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, on December 9, 1942, to Curtis and Marian Reid Owens, Barbara was married to Daniel R. Dionne for 58 years, and they had four children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Known for her devotion as a wife, loving mother, and proud Grammy Barb, Barbara had a heart of service and impacted many children and families through teaching in the children's ministry at her church and running a home daycare. She was a faithful attendee of River Valley Christian Fellowship, loved reading books, playing games, Elvis Presley, and celebrating her loved ones.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daniel R. Dionne. She is survived by her children Shari Absher, Dana Dionne, Dale Dionne, and Philip Dionne, grandchildren Laura, Jason, Bradley, Nick, and Andrew, and great-grandchildren Riley Rose, Bella, Jackson, and Daniel. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, LaRae Guliquist, and brother-in-laws David Dionne and Steve Dionne.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, officiated by Reverend Derrick Miller.
