On December 6, Robin Kelly commemorated the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment. She noted its importance in abolishing slavery in the United States and emphasized the ongoing effort to build a nation that safeguards the rights of all citizens. "The ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in the United States, building a more just and perfect union. Exactly 159 years to the date, we reflect on our continued pursuit to build a nation that protects the rights of all of our people."
On December 7, she observed Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day by honoring those who lost their lives during this attack on American soil. She expressed her commitment to remembering those who sacrificed their lives during this tragic event 83 years ago. "On #PearlHarborRemembranceDay, we are taking the time to honor the lives tragically lost during this attack on our country. I will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice 83 years ago today."
In another post dated December 10, Robin Kelly extended gratitude towards her Washington D.C. fall interns for their contributions over recent months. She acknowledged their efforts in serving Illinois' Second District alongside her and expressed optimism about their future prospects as emerging leaders.
