Robin Kelly, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 2nd district, has recently expressed her views on President Trump's policies through a series of tweets. These comments reflect her concerns regarding economic and healthcare issues under the current administration.

On March 4, 2025, Kelly tweeted about the economic challenges facing the country during President Trump's second month in office. She highlighted rising prices and job losses: "It’s President Trump’s second month in office and: Gas and egg prices are soaring The stock market is in free-fall Hundreds are losing their jobs He’s dragging us into a trade war that YOU will have to pay for."

Later that day, on March 5, 2025, Kelly announced her attendance at President Trump's address to Congress with Dr. Lisa Green as her guest. She criticized anticipated justifications from Trump regarding healthcare policies: "I’m heading to President Trump’s address to Congress with Dr. Lisa Green as my guest. As the founder of a federally-funded health center, Lisa treats patients who rely on Medicaid. Trump will try to justify taking his attacks on healthcare tonight, but we won’t stand for it."

In another tweet on March 5, 2025, Kelly commented on topics addressed by Trump during his speech: "So far, Trump has bragged about: Withdrawing from the World Health Organization His culture war against DEI Firing FAA employees Refusing to let trans kids play sports None of the above will make America affordable again."
