Robin Kelly, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 2nd District since 2013, recently expressed her concerns and shared insights through a series of tweets. She highlighted economic issues and community events, alongside extending a welcome to a fellow public official.

On April 7, 2025, Kelly voiced her criticism of economic strategies implemented by former President Donald Trump. She stated, "Trump is crashing the economy. His tariffs are a tax on the American people, and we will pay at the check-out counter for his recklessness. Don’t just take my word for it — this was Fox News this morning".

On the same day, Kelly shared updates about her engagement with the local youth. She remarked on her participation in a community event, noting, "This weekend, young adults discovered job and internship opportunities at my annual Youth Opportunities Fair at Hillcrest High School. This event is always one of my favorites, and it was a joy to see different employers and our youth connecting."

Later that day, Kelly expressed her appreciation for the Illinois Attorney General's efforts. She extended a welcome at the Capitol with a message, "Welcome to the Capitol, @ILAttyGeneral! Thank you for your hard work to combat the Trump administration’s unconstitutional actions in court."
