U.S. Representative Robin Kelly shared updates on infrastructure projects and her stance on immigration and social programs in a series of posts published on August 8 and 9, 2025.

On August 8, Kelly highlighted recent infrastructure developments, stating, "What a week for infrastructure! Kicked it off in Glenwood with the @USACEHQ celebrating a new stormwater project, then headed to Matteson for a critical water main groundbreaking."

Later that day, she addressed Illinois’ immigrant heritage and federal policy, writing, "Chicago and Illinois draw their strength from a rich history of immigrants. We’re not about to stop now — no matter what the Trump administration says."

On August 9, Kelly commented on proposed changes to federal assistance programs under former President Donald Trump’s administration: "President Trump's 'Big Ugly Law' slashes Medicaid, Medicare & food aid. I'm fighting like hell to protect them all. Come to my Town Hall; hear my thoughts, ask me questions and learn more."

Robin Kelly has served as U.S. Representative since winning a special election in 2013. She has consistently secured re-election by significant margins over multiple cycles: defeating Thomas Lynch in 2022 with 67.1% of the vote; Theresa Raborn in 2020 with 78.8%; David Merkle in 2018 with 81.1%; John Morrow in 2016 with 79.8%; and Eric Wallace in 2014 with 78.5%. These results reflect sustained support within her district.
