City of Watseka City Council met Aug. 12.

SPECIAL CALLED COUNCIL MEETING
PRESENT: Mayor Marcier, Aldermen Brault, Pence, Petersen, Miller, Muench, Dewitt, Garfield and Alderwoman Rohlfs
Mayor Marcier opened the meeting at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the special called meeting is to approve a revolving loan for $250,000.00 for a new business called Bookish at 131 E Walnut. Mayor Marcier stated the application process has been taken to 3 of the local bankers and they are all in agreement to proceed with the loan.
Alderman Garfield makes a motion to approve Ordinance #2759-Ordinance of the City of Watseka, Iroquois County, Illinois Approving a $250,000 Loan to CEM Properties LLC from the Revolving Loan Fund to Finance the Redevelopment of 131 East Walnut Street, Watseka Illinois. Alderwoman Rolfs seconded. Roll call carried 8-0.
Alderman Garfield makes a motion to adjourn at 6:06 pm and Alderwoman Rohlfs seconded. Roll call carried 8-0.
