Momence - Sandra J. Burke, age 77, passed away on August 26, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. Born on January 16, 1948, in Chicago to Charles & Wilma Granade Jones, Sandra married Patrick H. Burke on April 12, 1970. She was a homemaker and adored by her loved ones, known affectionately as "Momma Burke."

Sandra found joy in nature, particularly in flowers, deer, and various birds like flamingos, penguins, hummingbirds, and cardinals. She was a fan of anchovy-stuffed olives and cherished visits to Graceland. Sandra's memory will be treasured by her son Richard Burke, daughters Kathleen Murphy and Megan (Joseph) Powell, sister Donna Neubauer, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her best friend Ardis.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, and sister, Sandra's family will gather for visitation at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cremation rites will follow, with a private family inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Memorials may be made to her son, Richard Burke, via the Sympathy Store for those who wish to honor her memory.
