U.S. Representative Robin Kelly has voiced criticism of recent Senate actions and Republican policies in a series of social media posts, focusing on healthcare access and immigration enforcement.

On November 10, 2025, Kelly wrote, "This Senate deal abandons millions who rely on ACA credits for affordable healthcare. Republicans caused this crisis—gutting Medicaid, giving billionaires $4T, and shutting down the gov for 40 days. This fight isn't over; @HouseDemocrats will keep fighting."

Later that day, she commented on immigration enforcement by stating, "When ICE raids daycares and neighborhoods, it doesn’t make us safer—it spreads fear. Judge Ellis’s decision is a step toward accountability and basic human decency but we are far away from holding ICE accountable and to protecting families from ICE Gestapo-style tactics."

On November 11, 2025, Kelly addressed ongoing issues with health insurance costs during the open enrollment period: "Ten days into the 2026 open enrollment period, and families are being hit with higher costs on their monthly health insurance bills because Republicans refuse to work with @HouseDemocrats to negotiate renewal of the ACA tax credits."

Robin Kelly has represented Illinois' 2nd congressional district since winning a special election in 2013. She has maintained her seat through several election cycles with significant margins of victory: defeating Thomas Lynch in 2022 with 67.1% of the vote; Theresa Raborn in 2020 with nearly 79%; David Merkle in 2018 with over 81%; John Morrow in 2016 with almost 80%; and Eric Wallace in 2014 with more than three-quarters of the vote.

Her recent statements reflect ongoing debates about federal healthcare policy following changes to Affordable Care Act tax credits and disputes over immigration enforcement practices.
