Iroquois County has no new sex offenders registered as living there in the week ending March 23, according to the Illinois Police Sex Offender Registry.
There were six offenders living in Iroquois County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2024, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Kankakee Times.
In 2022, government transfers made up 25% of income in Kankakee County, an alarming 17.2% surge from 7.8% in 1970, according to information from the Economic Innovation Group.
