The Kankakee County Board will hold a special meeting Monday at 9 a.m.
The agenda contains three resolutions: approve the 2015-2016 county budget, address the State’s Attorney’s Appellate Prosecutor Program for next year and approve up to $4 million in anticipation warrants to cover county operating costs for the remainder of the year until the next round of taxes is collected.
Anticipation warrants allow local governments to borrow a certain amount of money -- usually on a short-term, low-interest basis -- based on an amount of tax they expect to collect in the near future.
The meeting will be held on the 4th floor boardroom at the county administration building in Kankakee.
