The Grant Park Village Board discussed the purchase of two items to deal with upcoming winter weather at its most recent meeting Dec. 21.
The village discussed the purchase of a 2000 International 4900 dump truck with a salt spreader for $20,000 from Clauss Specialties Inc. Board members also discussed the purchase of a snow plow with an additional cutting edge for no more than $3,000.
In addition to those discussions, the board voted to approve the proposal from Republic Services for garbage collection.
The Village and Grounds Committee requested a vote for permission to hire a part-time employee.
Finally, there was a vote to approve a variance for the Stanley Property.
