The Manteno Board of Police Commissioners met Monday in the Manteno Police Department Conference Room to discuss personnel.
The commissioners held interviews for the department's open sergeant position and approved a list of candidates for promotion based on the results of a written exam, merit points and oral interview.
In attendance were Chief Bernie Thompson, Brian Meyer, Scott Bertrand and Charlie Frame.
