The city of Momence recently launched two new websites: an updated site for the city and a new one for the Earl D. Schoeffner Farm Museum, according to a release from the city.
The new Momence website is redesigned but features all of the same resources that were on the old site. The city noted that it plans to create an email and automatic debit billing system for water bills, which residents will be able to sign up for on the new site.
The Farm Museum site features photographs and descriptions of pieces in the museum. It also boasts an event calendar and images from past events. The museum is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and allows guests to explore more than a century of farming history from the area, according to the release.
In addition, the city's annual Christmas Gathering will be Dec. 2 and take place all through downtown Momence. Activities will be available for adults and children.
The city also noted an ongoing local fundraiser for Momence Police Department Officer Josh Malloy, who was in a catastrophic car crash in October. Those wishing to donate to assist in his recovery can do so at Municipal Bank, 228 N. Dixie Highway.
