Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met October 16. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

6:00PM Meeting called to order/ Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 10/02/17 meeting

Motion: Dickson 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 6-0

No Public Comments

*Motion to approve bills for payment: <10/13/17 General Fund $14,989.08, Sewer Fund $47,503.01

Payroll <10/07/17 $15,106.80, Stipend $1,275.00

Motion: Dickson 2nd: Morse Motion Carried 6-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: no report

Streets & Alleys, Veldhuizen: are working on the snow plows, getting them ready. Have done some stone spreading in town, and culvert work on 9000N. Road, should be completed soon.

Finance, Dickson: no report, Finance meeting 5PM 11/06/17

Sewer & Garbage, Morgan: no sewer issues with recent rains. It is believed the repairs recently completed on the east side helped a lot with storm water infiltration. Winterizing will begin at Heldt Park, and a leak in the holding tank of the pump will be repaired under warranty this winter.

Building & Grounds, Morse: Cabin Fever Reliever date set for 2/24/18 at the Community Center. Halloween Trick or Treat- Fest Committee is passing out candy, and serving hot chocolate. Fest meeting 10/26/17, 6PM at Village Hall. Picnic tables form the park will be restained over the winter.

Ordinance & Insurance, Weidl: Minion Contest update, 20 entered around town, more rumored to come.

Law Enforcement, Coats: no report

Chief Frey: no report

Pres. Roth: no report
