Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met November 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

1. Roll Call:

Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Fischer, Trustee King, Trustee Littrell, Village Treasurer Riebe, Village Administrator Van Mill, Assistant Administrator Wimberly, Finance Director Wolf, Village Attorney Dunn and Accounting Supervisor Latz. Absent was Trustee Keast and Trustee Serafini.

2. Review and approve Committee minutes:

3. Bills:

A motion was made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Greenlee to approve the committee minutes from November 1, 2017.

i. General funds bills reviewed: Committee approved.

ii. Special fund bills reviewed: Committee approved.

Committee recommended that the parameters for discretionary spending be reviewed at the next Department Head meeting.

4. Other:

•Review of 2017 Property Tax Levy - Finance Director reviewed the calculations for the upcoming tax levy. Committee discussed the current legislative conditions and will review and recommend a tax levy rate at the next Finance Committee meeting.

•Request for donation for Eagle Scout Project - Committee declined to participate.

•Request for donation to Harbor House - Committee declined to participate.

•A request was made from Jewel to allow liquor sales to begin at 8:00 am on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve - Committee declined that request.

•Discussion of attendance at the ICSC Conference in Las Vegas next spring - Committee approved the attendance of Mayor, Administrator and Assistant Administrator.

•Discussion of the use of Retail Coach program - Committee Heard information on the types of information and services that the Retail Coach program could provide in the area of Economic Development. Committee approved pursuing a contract for these services.

•Review of the Pedestrian Bridge project - Committee reviewed fees from the 3 architects that presented at the last Community and Economic Development meeting.

6. New Business: None.

7. Public Comments: None.

8. Adjournment and Time: A motion was made by Trustee King and Seconded by Trustee Littrell to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:33 p.m.
