Village of Bourbonnais Board met May 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Village Attorney Patrick Dunn. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jace Boudreau a 4th grade student from Mrs. Brammer's class at Noel LeVasseur School.

1.Roll Call: Village Clerk Brian Simeur called the roll with the following Trustees present: Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Randy King, Trustee Jack Littrell and Trustee Angie Serafini. Also in attendance were Village Treasurer Ron Riebe and Village Attorney Patrick Dunn. Absent were Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Rick Fischer, Trustee Jeff Keast and Village Administrator Michael Van Mill.

ØAppointment of Temporary Chairman for tonight's board meeting:

A motion was made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Littrell to appoint Trustee Greenlee as the Temporary Chairman in the absence of Mayor Schore. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0.

2. Approval Of Minutes: Motion made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Serafini to suspend the reading and approve the Regular Board Meeting Minutes from May 7, 2018. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0.

3. Reports From Commissions And Advisory Boards: None.

4. Bids And Quotes:

a. Village of Bourbonnais Municipal Center Re-Roof Project

A motion to approve the low bid from Langlois Roofing in the amount of $212,189.00 was made by Trustee Littrell and seconded by Trustee Serafini.

Roll call vote:

Trustee Greenlee - Aye Trustee Fischer - Absent Trustee King – Aye Trustee Keast - Absent Trustee Littrell - Aye Trustee Serafini - Aye

Motion passed on a vote of 4-0-2.

5. Correspondence: None.

6. Finance Committee:

Trustee Rick Fischer, Chair

a. Consideration to Approve Accounts Payable May 21, 2018

Motion made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Littrell to approve the bills as presented.

Roll call vote:

Trustee Greenlee - Aye Trustee Fischer - Absent Trustee King – Aye Trustee Keast - Absent Trustee Littrell - Aye Trustee Serafini - Aye

Motion passed on a vote of 4-0-2.

7. Administration Committee:

Trustee Angie Serafini, Chair

ØRory Serafini, father of Trustee Angie Serafini, spoke about Friendship Festival's Veterans Appreciation weekend. He said that the outpouring of help has been amazing. There are numerous activities planned for the weekend.

8. Community & Economic Development: None.

9. Police Committee:

ØChief Phelps said that the recent Cops on a Rooftop raised $9,200.00 for Special Olympics.

10. Public Works Committee:

Trustee Randy King, Chair

Trustee King reported on the following:

• Mowing, trimming and edging is underway

• The Municipal Center grounds are being spruced up in advance of the upcoming Friendship Festival, which starts on Wednesday, June 20th

11. Utility Committee:

Trustee Jack Littrell, Jr., Chair

Trustee Littrell reported on the following:

• Burch Lift Station parts are due to arrive soon

• Sewer interceptor work continues

•Aqua crews are running water lines along Oak Run Drive. They will also be doing hydrant flushing and painting this summer

12. Committee Meetings Set:

Finance - Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 4:00 pm.

The meeting will be held in the Municipal Center Board Room.

13. Village Administrator's Report: None.

ØTemporary Chairman Greenlee recognized two Herscher High School students who were in attendance as part of a requirement that they attend a government meeting.

19. Adjournment:

A motion was made by Trustee Littrell and seconded by Trustee Serafini to adjourn the regular board meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 4-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:47 p.m.
