Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met May 30.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

1.Roll Call:

Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Fischer, Trustee King, Trustee Keast, and Trustee Littrell. Village Treasurer Riebe, Village Administrator Van Mill, Assistant Village Administrator Cyr and Finance Director

Wolf. Trustee Serafini was absent.

2. Review and approve Committee minutes:

A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to approve the committee minutes from May 16, 2018. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0.

3. Bill Lists:

• General Fund

• Special Fund

Other:

•Authorization for expenses for Patrol Officer Training - Committee approved. Finance Director reported some problems with the implementation of Travel and Expense Policy, but those problems are being addressed.

•Approval of extended warranties on new HVAC units - After a discussion of the responsible maintenance of all units the Committee approved the extended warranties on the new units.

•Review of proposal for continuing Disclosure Services - Finance Director requested that this item be tabled for further information.

•Review and approval of replacement sound system for Municipal Center Boardroom - Committee approved the replacement system.

•Review of bids for Northeast Lift Station and Force Main - Village Engineer reviewed the bids for Phase II of the new Sewer Interceptor – Committee approved the award to the lowest bidder.

• Finance Director relayed a request from the Village Engineer regarding a bid for the no-MFT portion of the 2018 Road Program. At the Finance Director's recommendation, other projects that have a higher priority, the Committee agreed to not bid the additional work.

5. Old Business:

• Request for donation or sponsorship for Fortitude Community Outreach

Mission.

6. New Business:

Village Administrator reported receiving calls regarding the new Business District. The calls were regarding Business District new tax rates, which will be collected beginning July 1, 2018. Administrator is addressing concerns from retailers.

Village Administrator also reported that annual evaluations are underway. A new Executive Administrative Assistant will begin work on June 6, 2018. We will be rolling out a new project approval program.

7. Public Comments: None.

8. Adjournment and Time: A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0 and the meeting adjourned at 4:48 p.m.
