Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met May 16.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
1.Roll Call:
Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Fischer, Trustee King, Trustee Keast, Trustee Littrell and Trustee Serafini. Village Treasurer Riebe,
Village Administrator Van Mill and Finance Director Wolf.
2. Review and approve Committee minutes:
A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to approve the committee minutes from May 2, 2018. Motion passed on a voice vote of 6-0.
3. Bills:
i. General funds bills reviewed: Committee approved.
ii. Special fund bills reviewed: Committee approved.
4. Other:
• Review of Special Fund Budgets for Fiscal 2019 - Committee reviewed the Special Fund budgets for all non-General Fund spending.
•Report on various Village Resources and obligations - Finance Director delivered a report on the reserves and resources of the Village for the upcoming fiscal year. After consideration of the potential projects and commitments, the Committee offered a preference to move the Municipal Center Roof replacement as the top project to be completed.
• Report on utility accounts receivable collection progress - Finance Director reported that Sewer/Refuse accounts receivable have been reduced by $75,731 and the number of past due accounts was reduced by 465 since the first of the calendar year. Review and approval of new purchasing procedure - Accounting Supervisor Latz presented the complete version of the purchasing procedure to be implemented by Village Administration. Public Works Director Chamness asked for less than $10,000 at the discretion of the department head. Committee agreed to keep the lower limit of $2,500 for the time being.
• Review of adjustments to the General Fund Budgets - tabled until a later Finance Committee meeting.
• Other - none.
5. Old Business:
• Request for donation or sponsorship for Fortitude Community Outreach Mission - nothing to report.
6. New Business: None.
7. Public Comments: None.
8. Adjournment and Time: A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 6-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
