Join Kankakee Valley’s local philanthropists, physicians, leaders and associates, as Presence St. Mary’s Hospital (PSMH) celebrates their 20th annual Gala at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, in the Expo Center at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds. This year’s theme “Greased Lightning” is a more casual take from previous formal events and encourages guests to come dressed in casual or 50’s inspired attire.
“Last year’s event was such a great success with over 400 guests that we wanted to stick with a similar format,” says Gala Co-Chair Ronda Bond. “By reducing ticket prices and holding the event at a larger venue, we are able to accommodate more members from our community. In addition to enjoying great food and music and a night of fun, our guests will be supporting a great cause.”
The Presence St. Mary’s Hospital Annual Gala offers an opportunity to celebrate and support the quality, compassionate care St. Mary’s provides to the community. Proceeds will support a renovation to the hospital’s emergency room’s triage, registration and waiting area, increasing safety, comfort and efficiency while enhancing the patient experience.
“The support of our community is vital to our hospital’s success and has been for the past 120 years,” says PSMH President Chris Shride. “Great strides in services, technology, and nationally top tier quality occurred in the past two years at St. Mary’s. We look forward to a great night of celebration with our community.”
Maggie Speaks’ Shout Out band will be providing the musical entertainment, playing a variety of classic and modern hits. Cocktails will be served at 6:00p.m.with live music & dancing, silent auction & raffles, fund-a-cause, and a beer & wine pull throughout the night. The Franco Family Foundation and the St. Mary’s Auxiliary are this year’s gold sponsors.
