U.S. Representative Robin Kelly, a Democrat from Illinois, used her social media platform on November 14, 2025, to express concerns over recent actions by federal immigration and border enforcement agencies and to announce legislative efforts in Congress.

In a post made at 3:30 AM UTC, Kelly commented on an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Chicago: "This is DISTURBING. During an ICE raid in Chicago, an agent pointed a gun at unarmed neighbors.

Threatening people with guns is not how you build trust or ensure safety.

We need to hold ICE and Secretary Noem accountable for clear abuses of power.

Later that day, at 5:28 PM UTC, Kelly addressed congressional action related to healthcare tax credits: "Time and time again, Republicans have shown they serve Donald Trump instead of the American people.

I joined the @HouseDemocrats in a discharge petition to force Speaker Johnson to hold a vote to extend the ACA tax credits by 3 years.

The American people deserve to have their".

At 9:28 PM UTC, she posted about Border Patrol leadership's conduct during a visit to Chicago's Bean sculpture: "Under Director Bovino and Secretary Noem’s reckless leadership, Border Patrol agents shouted “Little Village!” while posing at the Bean—mocking the same community they tear-gassed days earlier.

Their photo op tactics are disgusting.

Robin Kelly has been serving as U.S. Representative for Illinois since winning a special election in 2013. She has consistently secured reelection by significant margins, including victories over Thomas Lynch in 2022 with more than two-thirds of the vote, Theresa Raborn in 2020 with nearly 79%, David Merkle in 2018 with over 81%, John Morrow in 2016 with almost 80%, and Eric Wallace in 2014 with more than three-quarters of votes cast. These results reflect strong support within her district across multiple election cycles.
