Village of Bourbonnais issued the following announcement on Dec. 12.
The Village of Bourbonnais and Bourbonnais Police Department collected for this year's Kankakee County Sheriff's Office #ShopWithaCop donation.(drum roll please)

Because of your generosity, 85 children in need throughout Kankakee County from 54 less-fortunate families will benefit with breakfast, shopping for holiday gifts with over 60 local police officers and returning home with their gifts and a food basket for their families to have a holiday meal.
We could not have donated this amount without all of you! Thank you to EVERYONE who visited our facilities and donated, local business support from DressWell Boutique, Smitty's Bar & Gaming, Brandon Caseys Comfort Crew, HomeStar Bank & Financial Services, Bank of Bourbonnais, anonymous donors, Village of Bourbonnais employees and anyone not mentioned above.
