Republican Michael Downey's election campaign committee, Downey for Sheriff, spent $19,602 in the second quarter, according to committee expenditure records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Downey's committee spent the most on golf outings in the quarter, with all those payments ($13,765) going to Oak Springs Golf Club in St. Anne. Table 1 below shows the distribution of how Downey's committee spent its money in the second quarter.
