The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 N. Dixie Highway, Momence. Mayor Chuck Steele called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Alderman Rehmer made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 6, 2019 council meeting. Alderman Cope seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Metz, Clark, Rehmer,
Temple and Cope voting yes. Aldermen Carbonaro and Cook passed.
APPROVAL OF THE BILLS
The bills were discussed at tonight's Budget and Finance Committee Meeting.
Alderman Salomone made a motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
CITZEN FORUM –
Phil Reams/Sluggers- Street closure June 1st N Locust between E. River and E Washington, Alderman Cook made motion to approve, Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
Larry Crouch requesting additional street closures for Heritage Days – East Washington west from alley 11 am – 5:30pm Washington Street east from Locust to Walnut (including Locust/Washington intersection) 11:30am – 12:45pm
Locust Street from Washington Street north to Second Street 11:30 am – 12:45pm. Alderman Cope made motion to approve, Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

ALDERMANIC REPORTS –
Jake Salomone –BF meeting June 3, 7:15 PM, appropriation publication June 5, hearing July 1, vote on July 15.
Alderman Metz – public works meeting with Baxter Woodman – $30,000.00 cost, working on grant/loan approval Alderman Metz made motion to approve waste water treatment facility plan, sewer use of pretreatment ordinance and industrial use site classification. Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
Alderman Cope will be absent June 3 meeting
Treasurer report – cert of compliance of MFT fund has been updated. Rev/expend reports will be provided once rolled over. These will be emailed out.
Department Heads – Chief Brucato – 2 part time officers will be graduating from academy on June 15
Golf carts fee will be 25.00 until end of May then 50.00.
Scott Behrends – Nicor has been working on new mains on the South side

Meeting with the Census, looking for workers to pay $15.50 per hour. Looking for someone on the council to possibly set up a committee for the Census
Mayor requested executive session to discuss employment/compensation of specific employees of the public body to possibly come out to do business. Alderman Cook made motion to approve, Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
