Village of Grant Park Village Board met Aug. 19.

6:30PM Meeting called to Order/ Pledge
Roll Call was taken, all present, except Ms. Morse
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 8/05/19 meeting
Motion: Morgan 2nd: Coats Motion Carried 4-0-1 Dickson abstaining
Public Comments: Scott Zizic spoke to the Board concerning an upcoming event “Witches Night Out”, on Oct. 26th, a family fun event running from 3-9PM. He is asking to block Taylor Street off from Meadow St. to the School to have games on the street. Neighbors affected have been notified, with no objections. The Board was polled, and gave permission to block the street.
*Motion to approve bills for Payment: <8/14/19 General Fund $19,192.79, Sewer Fund $266.00, Festival Fund $908.68, <8/11/19 Payroll $15,165.24, <8/14/19 Stipend $1,275.00

Clerk Dillman: no report
Streets & Alleys, Veldhuizen: no report
Finance, Dickson: gave a recap from a meeting with the Hitchcock Group held earlier in the day. They spoke with representatives from the School, Grant Park Chamber, Village Board, and shared information. They plan to host several workshops, planned for 10/02 and 10/03, and to conduct surveys with the public at Oktoberfest, with hopes to give results from the survey at the 10/07/19 Board meeting.
