City of Momence Public Works Committee met October 21.

The Ordinance Committee meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.
Present: Chairman Alderman Metz, also present Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Cook, Temple, Rehmer and Cope. Aldermen Salomone was absent.
1. Sewer upgrades and needed projects - stormwater clarifier - $140,000.00 which would include the gear box, $28,000.00 for walk way which needs sandblasting/painting and repair. Mark working on getting in touch with Aquativa for more prices which he received a quote of $20,000.00 for 2 parts. The clarifier has been down since 2017, needs to be fixed soon. Rep. Sims is looking to put his name on something soon with the elections coming. Mayor intends to give him this info, looking for his help.
2. Looking to add a well – if rate increases are received, quote received of $213,000.00 for drilling and equipment. North well only runs 5 hours per day, the other 2 wells run 14 hours per day. Approx. 800,000.00 gallons of water per day.
3. The engineers say they are ready for the manifold of the river bids out by the end of November.
