KANKAKEE COUNTY FARM BUREAU: IFB, COUNTRY team up to host Agribusiness Seminars

Meeting372

Kankakee County Farm Bureau issued the following announcement on Nov. 25.

As 2020 approaches, plenty of tools and updates exist to help farmers plan and prepare for a successful season. Upcoming Agribusiness Seminars are scheduled across the state to assist farmers on a variety of topics, including Federal Crop Insurance offerings, navigating the crop insurance claims process should devastation hit your farm, and a market outlook on grain prices for 2020.

Seminars begin in December and continue through February, with the first meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Tortenson Youth Education Center in Pecatonica. The next seminar will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 13 at the United Methodist Church in Roanoke.

“We are excited to connect with our COUNTRY clients, Farm Bureau members and others interested in information that will help them better plan for the 2020 crop year in Illinois,” said Doug Yoder, COUNTRY Financial crop agency manager. “These meetings proved helpful during a rough 2019 and assisted many of our clients to be in better positions to overcome the weather challenges they faced because they better understood the resources available to them. I encourage all Illinois farmers to find the nearest Agribusiness Seminar this winter and plan on attending.”
