The meeting was called to order by President Timothy O. Nugent. Roll call followed the Pledge of Allegiance, led by President Nugent.

Motion by Boyce, seconded by Dole to waive the reading of the minutes and approve the Regular Board Meeting minutes of December 16th, 2019 as presented by the clerk.

Motion approved: 5-0 Crockett absent

Reports of Village Officials:

Village President’s Report: Timothy Nugent

Chief Al Swinford and the Board recognized Officer Jim Ramseyer for his 20 years of service to the Village on our police force. Officer Ramseyer was present to receive his certificate. Mayor Nugent expressed the Village’s condolences on the recent unexpected death of one of our employees, Steve Knupp. The Village will miss Steve and appreciated everything he did for our community. Steve took great pride in everything he did. Our condolences to the Knupp family

• Ordinance 19-29 – An Ordinance authorizing the sale of personal property (Surplus Municipal Equipment) – A 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor

• Reminder to the public of several new state laws in Illinois that went into effect January

1, 2020, including Scott’s Law or the “Move Over” law in which motorists must move over into the outside lane when you see flashing lights on the side of the road, whether they are red, blue or yellow. Please go online and check out what is new in Illinois for 2020

The next Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday January 14, 2020 has been CANCELED

Motion by Phillips seconded by Martin, to approve a single roll call vote on the question of passage of agenda items. Motion Approved 5-0 Crockett absent

Motion by Boyce seconded by Dole to approve by an omnibus vote those ordinances, resolutions, motions and orders contained on the consent agenda.
