CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
President Dave Haase called the Board of Education of the Iroquois West District Number 10, Iroquois County, Illinois to order in Regular Session on January 21, 2020 in the board room at the Iroquois West High School in Gilman, Illinois. The following officers and members of the Board of Education were present: Dave Haase – President, Rodger Bennett – Vice President, Anthony Miller – Secretary, Norma Classen, Clint Perzee, Amy Schunke and Adam Vice.
A quorum of the members of the Board being present, the President called the meeting to order at 7:03pm and declared the Board to be in session for the transaction of business. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

President Haase welcomed all visitors. Rod Copas, Heather Frank and Bob Kramer addressed the board. Carl Torbeck showed the board what the Middle School has been doing with their 3D printer.

Administrative Reports
Houberg – The High School had its first home wrestling match with over 300 people in attendance. Ehmen – Mr. Ehmen shared that the 8th grade boys basketball team won the county tournament. Both 7th and 8th grade won this year. Duncan – Mrs. Duncan’s building is enjoying Wacky Wednesdays this month. Harkins – Mr. Harkins was happy to report that the parking area is complete at GES. Iroquois Paving treated GES employees to lunch for their patience with the project. Mrs. Talbert shared the IWES Carnival will be held 3-13-20 at GES from 6-8pm. Carlson/Curriculum – Mrs. Carlson gave a shout out to everyone that presented at Friday’s in service. DES hosted another Family Night, this one focused on reading. Attendance was up 57% from last year. Onarga Academy – Not present Athletic Director – Not present Technology Coordinator – Not present Superintendent’s Report – Norma Classen and Amy Schunke discussed their experience at IASB Annual Conference. There is a Corn Belt meeting on 3-12-20 if anyone would like to attend. Mr. Bagby updated the board on pest control at the buildings. Roberto Sanchez wanted to thank the principals and staff for working to improve pest control. The superintendent discussed his Financial Report. IW has received another 4.0 financial rating. Mr. Bagby has completed the maintenance grant application. If awarded, the money will be used to update water and sewer lines for restrooms at the High School. Asbestos testing is currently being done.
