Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Iroquois County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Iroquois County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Kankakee Times.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in Iroquois County. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eric S. Deaton. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 36 years old. He is now 39.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Iroquois County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
