1. Call to Order/Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by the Committee Chairperson, Ms. Webber, at 9:00 a.m.

4. Approval of Minutes: August 18, 2020
Ms. Peters made a motion to combine and approve all committee reports including the minutes from August 18, 2020, the County Clerk Report, Assessor report, Recorders monthly report and the Animal Control report. Ms. Polk seconded it.
Motion carried with a roll call vote of 12 ayes and 0 nays. Voting aye were: Ms. Webber, Mr. Snipes, Ms. Peters, Ms. Parker, Ms. Polk, Mr. Fairfield, Ms. Dunbar, Mr. Fetherling, Ms. Zuccollo, Mr. Carrico, Mr. Kerkstra and Mr. Wheeler
4. County Clerk – Dan Hendrickson
• Monthly Report
Mr. Hendrickson reviewed the report with the committee.
Mr. Hendrickson updated the committee on the mail in ballots and also that early voting will be starting in 9 days.
Mr. Snipes asked about the new process for mail in voting and the safeguards that are in place
Mr. Hendrickson advised that there has always been mail in ballots, but this will be the first year that the numbers are much higher. There will be three judges who verify signatures and all three judges must agree of the signature.
If you mail in vote, you are not able to vote in person. If you have registered for mail in and then decide to come in, you must surrender your ballot.
Ms. Dunbar asked if there are enough election judges.
Mr. Hendrickson stated that feel confident in the amount of judges, but it’s not too late if you want to sign up to serve as an election judge.
Mr. Hendrickson advised that the mail in ballots were mailed on September 24th
Mr. Fetherling asked how many mail in requests were received.
Mr. Hendrickson advised that they have received about 8,000 requests and he anticipated there to be many more to bring the total to about 10,000.
5. Assessor – Erich Blair

Mr. Blair reviewed and discussed the report with the committee.
Mr. Blair reviewed the tax exemptions with the committee.
6. Recorder – Lori Gadbois
• Monthly Reports
Ms. Gadbois reviewed the report with the committee.
There were no questions from the committee.
Ms. Gadbois updated the committee on the status of the preservation books.
7. Animal Control – Kari Laird

Ms. Laird reviewed and discussed the reports with the committee.
8. Animal Welfare Advisory Committee – Tinker Parker
• Monthly Update
• Reckless Dog Owner Ordinance
Mr. Coghlan reviewed the Reckless Dog Owner Ordinance with the committee.
Ms. Parker made a motion to approve the ordinance and Ms. Polk seconded it. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 12 ayes and 0 nays. Voting aye were: Ms. Webber, Mr. Snipes,

Mr. Kerkstra made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:22 a.m., and Mr. Snipes seconded it.
