Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees Met July 19.

6:30PM Meeting Called to Order/ Pledge
Roll Call taken, all members present, except Ms. Wiedl
*Motion to approve previous 7/06/21 meeting
Motion: Morgan 2nd: Raloff Motion Carried 5-0-0
Public Comments: Bob Roviaro asked to speak, sighting several topics, flying of the flag, diverting school tax funding, decoupling from Illinois, door-to-door solicitation, and new business recruitment. Board members and Pres Hawkins replied to the questions.
Jerry Laroque representing ESI Phone Systems, gave his proposal for replacing the phones in the Police Station, and Village Hall, possible Maintenance Building.
Cindy Impema, representing Prairie Disposal asked on Ordinances pertaining to waste disposal, and asked if their business could be included for commercial uses and more in the future. Pres Hawkins will look in to it.
James Patel asked on efforts to obtain new businesses in the Village
*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <7/15/21 General Fund $14,719.52, MFT $11,200.00, <7/10/21 Payroll $15,081.49, <7/12/21 Payroll $4,340.67, <Stipend $1,275.00

Clerk Dillman: no report
Streets & Alleys, Coats: has placed Steve Sullivan as temporary Road Commissioner, pending replacement is found, cleaning up yard at maintenance building, more spray patching has been done, more to be done. A drawing of a proposal for Main & Taylor Streetscape was presented
Finance, Morgan: Second reading Ordinance O-7-21-1, May ’21- April ’22 Appropriations Budget approved as read. Motion: Morgan 2nd: Veldhuizen Motion Carried 5-0-0
Discussion held on 2 proposals for a LED sign to be placed near the Police Station. A vote on this to be at the next meeting.
Sewers & Garbage, Veldhuizen: no report
Building & Grounds, Bruni: no movement on internet at the Park
Looking in to replacing the small water heater in the Library
Ordinance & Insurance, Raloff: will be reviewing the Budget for the Library
Law Enforcement, Wiedl: Absent, no report
Pres. Hawkins: Appointed Joe Hubbard, Treasurer effective 8/1/21. Voice vote approved 5-0-0
