State Representative candidate for the 79th District, Bobb Switzer, criticized the plans to build a Chinese Communist party-linked lithium-ion battery plant in Manteno.

“I don’t know if people are fully aware that our local, state, and federal government is pulling some pretty shady deals behind closed doors in Manteno, Illinois,” Switzker said in a Facebook video.

“They are preparing to build a lithium battery plant where the old Kmart building is on Manteno, the Selma Road west of the interstate. I was at a meeting last week where I obtained a copy of Gotion, which is the company that is planning on building this battery plant. I obtained a copy of their corporate bylaws, which I am going to post a photograph of both on this site and in the comments below this video. It is time that we hold the feet of our state, local, and federal politicians to fire over what they are doing to our nation in accordance with all the underhanded dealings with China.”

“The corporate bylaws begin by saying that the company will be ruled by the company law of the Communist Republic of China. You can read it for yourself. I’m going to paraphrase a little bit. But in paraphrasing article nine of this particular chapter one of the bylaws of Gotion High-Tech, Inc. states that the company has to create a platform for the Communist Party to operate inside of the company in the United States of America.”

“How on earth can we allow a communist nation to require its employees to swear their allegiance to communist China inside of the United States?”

“This entire Gotion thing needs to be stopped nationwide, and every corporation that is owned by communist China needs to be removed from U.S. soil. That includes their ownership of land, farmland, real estate, corporations, buildings, skyscrapers, possibly even consulates. Our government is required per Article IV chapter four of the United States Constitution to guarantee us a Republican form of government that protects and defends us. The people of the United States of America. It does not matter how much money there is to be made from a company that promises that it might bring 2,500 jobs to the south suburbs of Chicago when that company is ruled by communist China and will require the people who work there to swear their allegiance to communist China. This is a problem.”

“It’s a problem that’s going to affect us all. That’s why I am running for the 79th District, the United States House of Representatives, because I am 100% fine with my constituents holding my feet to the fire and reminding me of the Constitution on a daily basis because it is an oath that every politician swears that they will uphold the Constitution of the United States and our Constitution is being violated on every level. I pray for this country. I pray for my neighbors. I pray for the people. I pray for leadership. I pray for myself. And I pray for you all, that somehow we can become the land of the free, the home of the brave again, and stand up and fight for this nation that we have the absolute privilege of living in.”

Switzer has an active Facebook presence in support of his candidacy.

He notes his candidacy on his website.

“I’m running not for myself, but to represent you and your families. You deserve a Representative who is honest and that will fight corruption head on. I will be your voice. My vote will not be my own, but yours. I will not vote on my personal conviction, but for what the people in my district want,” Switzer said on his website.

The 79th District is represented by State Rep. Jackie Hass (R-Kankakee).

The 79th District includes all or parts of Aroma Park, Beecher, Bonfield, Bourbonnais, Braceville, Bradley, Buckingham, Cabery, Chebanse, Coal City, Diamond, East Brooklyn, Essex, Gardner, Godley, Herscher, Hopkins Park, Irwin, Kankakee, Limestone, Momence, Peotone, Reddick, Sammons Point, South Wilmington, St. Anne, Sun River Terrace, and Union Hill.
