The Treasurer’s Office is accepting electronic submissions for the Cream of the Crop Photo Contest, a competition that allows Illinois students to showcase their creativity and perspective on agriculture. The contest, which is part of the Illinois State Treasurer’s Ag Invest program, invites participants to submit their best photos that capture their vision of agriculture in the state.

According to the organizers, winning photos will have the opportunity to be featured in Ag Invest marketing materials, the next year’s Cream of the Crop calendar, and at the 2024 Illinois State Fair. Additionally, Bright Start College Savings scholarships will be awarded to the top winners in each of the three age categories.

Students aged 8 to 18 have until June 14, 2024, to submit up to two photos each for consideration in the contest. This initiative aims to encourage young talents to express their perspectives on agriculture through photography.

The Cream of the Crop Photo Contest not only provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative and scenic pictures but also offers them the chance to be recognized and rewarded for their artistic efforts.
