On December 11, 2024, Robin Kelly highlighted her participation in the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. She mentioned hearing from state lawmakers about their initiatives to reduce gun violence. Emphasizing collaboration, she stated: "Federal and state lawmakers must work together to end gun violence once and for all."

Later that day, Kelly met with former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords to discuss ongoing efforts for gun safety in the upcoming Congress. Acknowledging Giffords' advocacy and personal experience as a survivor of gun violence, Kelly remarked: "Gabby, a survivor of gun violence herself, is a tireless advocate for gun safety. On December 13, 2024, Kelly engaged with the Illinois Primary Care Association from her district to deliberate on measures ensuring equitable access to healthcare. She expressed gratitude towards health centers nationwide for their service by stating: "Thank you to the nation’s health centers for providing high-quality care to over 32 million people in underserved communities each year."
