BOURBONNAIS - James W. "J.W." Barber, aged 83, of Bourbonnais, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee. Born in Greensboro, NC, Barber was a dedicated laborer for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 32 years of service in 2001. Known for his love of golfing, gambling, and RV trips with his family, Barber took great pride in tending to his lawn and flowers.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Barber, son Michael, daughter Beth Wilkening, and grandchildren Jarret, Logan, Jack, and Daphne, Barber will be remembered for his devotion to his family and enjoyment of spending time with his grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
