Elizabeth A. Hatcher | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Elizabeth A. Hatcher, aged 89, of Kankakee, passed away on January 3, 2025. Born on June 19, 1935, in Detroit, MI, to John and Gertrude Hatcher. Preceded in death by siblings James, Margie Martensen, and John Hatcher, survived by brother Robert Hatcher and several nieces and nephews. Beth graduated from Southeastern High School and Olivet Nazarene University.

Known for her faith and love for people, children, and family, Beth's life was an inspiration. A prayer warrior, she shared God's word with those in need and delighted her family with stories about her friends, highlighting her excellent memory. A dedicated music enthusiast, she was a long-time K-3 music teacher, choir member at College Church and Asbury United Methodist Church, and a soloist at weddings and funerals.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at College Church on Olivet Nazarene University campus. Memorial gifts can be made to the family. Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Kankakee. Guestbook available at www.clancygernon.com.
