Allen Matthew Kohl | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais
Allen Matthew Kohl, 79, of Kankakee, died on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center. Born on July 13, 1945, in Kankakee, Allen worked as a machinist for over 40 years and was known for his ingenuity in fixing and improving household items. He actively participated in church activities, volunteered at the local food pantry, and enjoyed gardening, bowling, and golf. An enthusiastic family man, Allen adored spending time with his grandchildren and beloved pets. Survived by his children, siblings, grandchildren, and fiancé, Allen is remembered for his love of family and community service. A memorial visitation and Mass will be held on April 22, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Private inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to the Kankakee Catholic Food Pantry or St. John Paul II Parish. Services arranged by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home.
