City of Watseka Finance, Legal & Audit Committee met April 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

PRESENT: Aldermen Marcier, Barragree, Miller, Muench, Anderson, Alderwoman DeLahr, and Mayor Allhands

ABSENT: Alderman Cahoe and Alderwoman Rohlfs

Alderman Marcier opened the meeting at 6:50 pm. There was no public comment.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the council to transfer $83,000 from general fund 1-10-8000 into police pension 40-10-5001, Alderman Barragree seconded, roll call 7-0.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the council to transfer $112,500 from liquor tax 1-10-8025 into police pension 40-10-5010, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to transfer $112,500 from liquor tax 1-10-1025 into promotions line item 1-10-1049, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 5-2 with Alderwoman DeLahr and Alderman Anderson voting no.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to transfer $161,500 from gaming 1-10-8020 into Police Pension 40-10-5005, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to transfer $200,000 from general fund 1-10-8000 into Street and Alley 6-10-9000, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to transfer $200,000 from general fund 1-10-1000 into capital purchase 1-10-1045, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to transfer $75,000 from general fund 1-10-8000 into Revolving Loan Fund 45-10-5000, Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.

Alderman Marcier stated the copiers in City Hall and the Police Department are at the end of life, if they break there are no longer any parts to fix them. Everyone on the committee has a copy of the quote from Xerox for city hall for $5,119.04 which includes one color

Printer and Police Department copier and one-color printer for the squad room for a cost of $3,337.74 for a total cost of $8,456.78. Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to purchase 2 new copiers and 2 color printers from Zerox for a total cost of $8,456.78, Alderman Miller seconded. Roll call carried 7-0. This will be paid for from 1-40-6900.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to recommend to the Council to accept the March Treasurers report and Alderman Muench seconded. Roll call carried 70-.

Alderman Marcier makes a motion to adjourn at 6:55 and Alderman Barragree seconded. Roll call carried 7-0.
