Cathrine Steinke, 75, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 17, 1949, in London, Kentucky, Cathrine was known for her unwavering faith, bright spirit, and ability to spread love and joy to all. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, finding happiness in family gatherings and time spent with loved ones. Active in her church community under Pastor Dennis and Lady Quina Winborn, Cathrine touched many lives with her strength, faith, and kindness. Preceded in death by her husband, sons, parents, and siblings, Cathrine is survived by her granddaughters, great-granddaughters, former daughter-in-law, siblings, brothers-in-law, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Cremation rites have been accorded, with a memorial service to be held on Friday, November 7, at Clancy Gernon Funeral Home, followed by inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on November 12, 2025. Memorials may be made to the family.
